President Donald Trump was forced to respond Friday to DOGE leader Elon Musk’s proclamation of ‘straight’ love for him.

‘I love @realDonaldTrump as much as a straight man can love another man,’ Musk posted to X Friday morning.

During a press conference alongside Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, Fox News’ Peter Doocy kicked off the questioning by asking about Musk’s a.m. admission.

Doocy read Musk’s post and then inquired: ‘What does the first lady think about that?’

‘Oh I think she’ll be OK with it, somehow,’ Trump said.

Musk had also labeled Trump the ‘Greatest President ever!’ for trying to get rid of paper drinking straws.

He also posted a picture of himself sporting a giant MAGA red hat in the Oval Office.

Doocy’s question started a Musk-centric press conference, despite it being a bilateral engagement with Japan, marking the first time the two leaders had met face-to-face.

Doocy also asked if a DOGE engineer who was fired for ‘inappropriate posts’ – they were racist in nature – should be be rehired, something that Vice President J.D. Vance had said earlier Friday on X.

‘Did you say that?’ Trump asked Vance, who was in the audience. ‘I’m with the vice president.’

Trump also confirmed that he’d allow Musk to go through Pentagon spending.

‘Pentagon, education, just everything. Just everything,’ Trump answered.

Musk came up again as NBC News asked about the criticism from Democrats that Musk and DOGE were engaged in an ‘unlawful power grab.’

‘Is there anything you’ve told Elon Musk, he cannot touch?’ Trump was asked.

Trump answered that the two hadn’t discussed that much.

‘I’ll tell him to go here, go there, and he does it, he has a very capable group of people. Very, very capable. They know what they’re doing,’ Trump said. ‘They’ll ask questions and they’ll see immediately if somebody gets tongue-tied that they’re either crooked or don’t know what they’re doing.’

EVERYTHING’S COMING UP ELON: Time put Musk (left) at Trump’s Resolute Desk on the magazine’s latest cover, while Musk sported a giant MAGA hat next to the desk in the Oval Office Thursday night

Musk’s morning Trump lovefest came as Time debuted its latest cover.

The magazine portrayed Musk sitting in Trump’s place at the historic Resolute Desk.

Trump was asked about that too – when hosting Ishiba in the Oval Office.

‘Is Time Magazine still in business? I didn’t even know that,’ Trump dryly responded.

Last year Trump touted becoming Time’s Person of the Year.
