The full list of US flights canceled and diverted after London Heathrow Airport was closed by electrical fire

London’s biggest airport has been shut down sparking chaos across the world following a huge fire.

The blaze left Americans stranded abroad but also had a massive knock-on effect meaning hundreds of flights across the US were canceled or delayed.

Heathrow was plunged into mayhem when flames erupted from a nearby electrical transformer containing 25,000 liters of cooling oil that was ignited.

At least 1,350 flights to and from Heathrow have been affected by the closure, with tens of thousands of passengers left stranded at airports overseas.

Dozens of planes from the US, the Caribbean and India were forced to be turned around in mid-air. Others were diverted to other airports in Britain and Europe.

Travelers have criticized Heathrow for their ‘confusing’ messages, with some alleging they weren’t informed of cancelations until they turned up at the airport.

More than 200,000 passengers had their flights shelved on Friday after the airport announced it would be closed until 11.59pm as a result of the inferno.
