Prince William revealed his daughter Princess Charlotte might “poach” a friendship bracelet he received during his visit to Estonia today.

The Prince of Wales made the lighthearted comment while visiting The Freedom School in Tallinn.

“My daughter will probably try and poach it off me later. She loves these friendship bracelets,” William said as an official fixed the yellow and blue bracelet to his wrist.

The school was established by Estonia’s Ministry of Education and Research in May 2022 in response to the war in Ukraine.

“Thank you very much, I like the Ukrainian colours. Thank you, that’s very kind,” the prince added.

The two-day trip marks William’s first-ever visit to Estonia and his first international tour of 2025. The 42-year-old prince is travelling without his wife, Princess Kate.

The friendship bracelet gifted to William features the Ukrainian national colours of yellow and blue, made by pupils at The Freedom School.

The school was founded specifically to support those affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, demonstrating Estonia’s response to the humanitarian situation.

Princess Charlotte appears to have sparked a friendship bracelet trend within the royal family over the summer. The nine-year-old was spotted wearing string bracelets at Wimbledon in July when she joined her mother and aunt Pippa Middleton.

Her interest may have been influenced by attending Taylor Swift’s London concert with her father and brother George in June.

King Charles later embraced the trend, wearing a yellow and red string bracelet during official engagements and even at the State Opening of Parliament.

Prince George followed suit, sporting a casual bracelet in his 11th birthday portrait taken by Princess Kate.

William previously wore a beaded “Papa” bracelet during his visit to Cape Town for the Earthshot Prize in November.

When asked about the “Papa” bracelet last year, William explained: “Well, this is a relic, if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided that she wanted to create a bracelet for.”

The prince will return home with additional gifts for his children from Estonia.

During a visit to Tallinn Lotte Kindergarten, William received a stuffed plush dog called Lotte, a famous Estonian storybook character, and a card for George, Charlotte and Louis.
