During his visit, the Duke will promote The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, known in India as The International Award for Young People (IAYP).
The programme has made a significant impact since its launch in India in 1962, reaching more than 150,000 students.
The award scheme currently operates across 325 schools and educational institutions throughout the country.
The initiative serves as a non-formal education and learning framework, designed to help young people discover their purpose, place and passion in the world.
His Royal Highness will meet with young people currently undertaking the Award programme during his time in India.
The visit includes meetings with Indian education and business leaders, as well as philanthropists.
The duke will also participate in events celebrating UK-India shared interests in sport and the arts, focusing on how these can support youth development.
This marks the first royal visit to India since King Charles III, then Prince of Wales, visited in November 2019.
