Reform UK MP Lee Anderson has reacted furiously to Keir Starmer’s PMQs slap down.
Speaking on GB News, Lee said the response he received by the prime minister was “pathetic” after he asked a question about the Government’s push for net zero.
In the Commons on Wednesday, Lee asked: “If we became net zero tomorrow, by how much would we reduce the Earth’s temperature by?”
Starmer did not answer the question directly, but defended his Government’s green agenda, which is being spearheaded by Energy Secretary Ed Miliband.

The PM went onto criticise Reform, saying they are guilty of “fawning over Putin” amid the Russian president’s offensive on Ukraine.
Reacting to the PM’s comments, Lee said on GB News: “It was a pathetic response from Keir Starmer. It wasn’t a response at all.
“He either couldn’t answer the question or he knew the answer and was too embarrassed to answer the question.”
Reform is outspoken in its criticism of net zero and pledged to scrap it in their 2024 manifesto.
Kemi Badenoch said net zero is an impossible target

Their view appears to have gained some traction in the Commons with Tory leader Kemi Badenoch saying the target is “impossible” and cannot be reached without bankrupting Britain.
In a speech, she said: “Net zero by 2050 is impossible. I don’t say that with pleasure, or because I have some ideological desire to dismantle it. In fact, we must do what we can to improve our natural world.
“Anyone who has done any serious analysis knows it can’t be achieved without a serious drop in our living standards or by bankrupting us.
“And responsible leaders don’t indulge in fictions which are going to make families poorer, or mortgage their children’s future – particularly without the rest of the world doing the same – making our country less safe, less secure and less resilient.”
Labour appear at odds on the matter with Rachel Reeves recently overruling Ed Miliband after he objected to plans for a new runway at Heathrow Airport.
