TNT Sports presenter Laura Woods has expressed mock outrage after discovering her newborn son dressed in Newcastle United attire by her fiancé Adam Collard.

The sports broadcaster, a devoted Arsenal fan, recently welcomed baby Leo with her Love Island star partner.

Woods admitted she was “fuming” upon finding her son sporting a Newcastle babygro, highlighting the couple’s contrasting football allegiances.

The playful rivalry between the new parents stems from Collard’s support of Eddie Howe’s Magpies, while Woods remains a passionate supporter of the Gunners.

Collard took to social media to share images of Leo in his Newcastle kit, cheekily captioning: “If you aren’t the first, you’re last @laurawoodsy”.

The situation comes shortly after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta had presented Woods with a thoughtful pre-Christmas gift of an Arsenal onesie for baby Leo.

The contrasting baby outfits highlight the good-natured football rivalry between the new parents, with both teams’ colours now represented in their son’s wardrobe.

The football rivalry between Woods and Collard looks set to intensify as Arsenal and Newcastle prepare to meet in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Newcastle currently hold a commanding 2-0 advantage from the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.

The Magpies are now within touching distance of reaching the final, where they would face either Tottenham or Liverpool.

The upcoming match could lead to more playful tension in the Woods-Collard household, as both parents hope to see their team’s colours worn by young Leo for the crucial fixture.

Speaking back in 2020, Woods revealed her support for Arsenal stemmed from a young age and her grandad was a big influence.

She told the Athletic: “I don’t think I was ever given much of a choice.

“My grandad and my mum’s side of the family are all from north London.

“When my grandad was little, him and his dad used to go to Highbury quite a lot – he used to tell us how his dad would pay and then he’d slip through the gates.

“So it was ingrained in us since we were little. I’ve got two big brothers and when we were younger it was the proper glory era of Arsenal – we were quite spoiled.

“As I got a bit older and we started to get into the drought years, I started thinking “wow, this is a different side of football.”
