ITV Dancing on Ice fans have accused the show judges of having favourites and overmarking some of the skaters during tonight’s show.

After two of the professional skaters pulled out of the competition this week, the celebrities have been doing all they can to make sure they maintain their high standards on the ice.

First to skate was Anton Ferdinand with his partner Annette Dytrt who performed to Living La Vida Loca.

He kicked off the episode with a stunning performance and earned himself a score of 8.5 from each of the judges – totalling 34 out of a possible 40.

Love Island star Chris Taylor was up next to perform with his new partner Robin Johnstone after his former partner Vanessa Bauer was forced to pull out of the competition.

Despite his fall last week, Taylor was able to bring his confidence back onto the ice and scored an eight across the board – leaving him with a total of 32.

Mollie Pearce and her partner Colin Grafton stunned viewers at home with their skate but it seemed the judges were less than impressed as she only scored a total of 29.

As the performances went on, it seemed the scores also took a nosedive which didn’t go unnoticed by viewers at home who swiftly took to their X account to moan.

One slammed: “Jesus scoring is a joke but for the life of me no idea why that was scored less than Anton’s .”

Soooo why were Chris’s scores lower than Anton’s???” another fumed before a third said: “In my opinion, the skate scoring 8 across the board was much better than the one scoring 8.5 across the board….I’m getting favourite vibes.”

Someone else penned: “Critique and scores not adding up. Chris’s skating technique, presentation and difficulty far outweighed the first guy.

“Chris was much better than Anton so imo but lower marks all around, doesn’t make sense to me!” a fifth wrote before a sixth angry viewer asked: “Are the judges watching the same show?!?!?!” (sic)

Many others noted that they felt the judges scored too high on Ferdinand’s performance and had nowhere else to go with the other performances.

The mix of scores and upset viewers comes after Eric Radford was forced to pull out of skating with Charlie Brooks tonight – with Brendyn Hadfield stepping in.

Posting on Instagram, the official Dancing on Ice account said: “Unfortunately, Eric Radford has sustained an injury during rehearsals.

“Following medical advice, he will not be able to skate with Charlie Brooks this week. Brendyn Hatfield will skate with Charlie. We wish Eric a quick recovery and hope to see him back on the ice next week.

Speaking about the shock injury, Charlie told the Sun: “Eric had an injury in his back and then his quad wasn’t firing properly so he’s having to have an MRI and has been told he has to have this week off the ice, which is so gutting.

It’s such a shame, he’s my number one and I will be lost without him. But I’m trying to flip it and think that it will be exciting to be able to skate with someone else, and Brendyn is wicked so it will be nice to get to know him a little bit.”
