F1 driver Alex Albon, 28, is dating famous Chinese golf star Lily Muni He, 25.

The couple made their relationship public in 2019 and met through social media after Albon caught Lily’s eye while appearing on Netflix’s ‘Drive to Survive’.

She once revealed that she was always interested in cars, but had not heard of F1 until she watched docuseries on the sport, where she saw Albon in action.

Lily is an avid traveller, regularly giving her 969,000 Instagram followers an insight into her jet-set lifestyle, and is often seen bouncing from country to country to watch her boyfriend behind the wheel of a Williams F1 car.

She was in attendance for the 2025 F1 season opener in Melbourne, and was most recently in the Williams garage to watch Albon secure a P9 finish in sprint qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix on Friday.

Lily said in 2021: ‘He [Albon] was really getting into golf at the same time I was getting into his sport.

‘He was watching a lot of YouTube videos and golf on TV, so then he followed me. I guess that’s how we technically met.’

Born in China, Lily was introduced to golf by her father, a successful hotelier and restaurateur, and was already competing by age five. Just like his girlfriend, Albon also got into his sport at a young age, competitively racing karts in 2005 at the age of eight.

Lily later moved from China to Vancouver, Canada, before settling in San Diego, California.

She studied at Torrey Pines High School, before attending the University of Southern California for a year, where she majored in communications and played on the women’s golf team.

Lily then turned professional in December 2017 after a successful amateur career, where she won the 2012 Randy Wise Junior Open, 2013 PING Phoenix Junior at ASU Karsten, 2016 Polo Junior Classic and the 2017 Minnesota Invitational.

At this point, Albon just finished his first season in F2 with ART in 2017, before joining DAMS the year after, in what would be his final year in the feeder series.

Lily and Albon then began dating in 2019 when the Thai driver finally penned his first F1 contract with Toro Rosso.

In 2018, Lily won her first professional event, before going on to win the eight-round Q-Series in 2019 to secure her 2020 LPGA Tour membership.

Alongside her golf career, Lily has established herself as a successful fashion influencer

Outside of her sport, Lily has enjoyed endorsement deals with Nike and WeChat, the latter being the most popular social networking app in China with over a billion monthly users.

In the past, Albon explained the couple share a strong dynamic, given that they are both professional athletes.

‘On top of everything, we understand and we get each other,’ Albon told Golfweek. ‘We started our sports as rookies, and we‘ve gone through tough times together.

‘The highs and lows of being an athlete, I think you can resonate that with any athlete.’
