Tim Walz skirted his usual ‘regular guy’ image while hobnobbing with the son of billionaire Democrat donor George Soros in his posh New York City pad.

Alex Soros, the 38-year-old son of the global philanthropist, was handed the reins of his father’s $25 billion empire in 2023 – and pledged to continue bankrolling left-wing causes.

Walz, who may be the least wealthy person ever to run for vice president, has now spent time with Soros and his wife, ex-Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, twice in the last month.

Soros, who has palled around with Kamala Harris in the past, couldn’t contain his excitement, writing in a social media post: ‘Such an honor to host VP candidate @timwalz at my home in New York City.’

Back in August, Soros declared himself ‘Walzified! Walzpilled!’ after meeting Walz with Abedin – the ex-wife of disgraced Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner – at the Democrat National Convention in Chicago.

It’s not yet clear what Soros has given to the Harris-Walz campaign, though his donations to the 2020 Biden-Harris campaign totaled over $700,000, while donating at least $5 million to Democrats overall.

Alexander was known in his younger years as a Hamptons rich kid who threw lavish parties, picked up models and befriended NBA legends.

His flamboyant lifestyle and untamed antics earned him a reputation as something of a ‘playboy’ – and even saw him once described as an ’embarrassment’ within his famous family, standing in sharp contrast to his father’s fierce dedication to personal privacy and his long-standing image as a serious and respected philanthropist and businessman.

So the it as a surprise to some when he was named as the successor and heir to his father’s $25 billion empire.

His ascent to the head of George’s Open Society Foundations (OSF) was seen as something of a shock decision, particularly as it saw him usurp his older – and much more serious – brother Jonathan in a corporate battle that many likened to the HBO series Succession.

But ahead of the June 2023 announcement, Alex had slowly been working on transforming his image from that of a playboy to a political power player – swapping parties with celebrities for pow wows with people of serious influence, including Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden.

His political affiliations now seem to have led him to another major milestone: a romance with Hillary Clinton’s longtime aide and friend Huma Abedin, with whom he publicly debuted a relationship on Instagram Stories on Valentine’s Day 2023, when the pair enjoyed a date night in Paris.

The couple were engaged in July of this year, with Soros writing: ‘this happened…we couldn’t be happier, more grateful, or more in love.’

Soros, 38, was handed the reins to his father George’s (pictured) $25 billion empire in 2023 and made no bones about how he wanted to continue to bankroll left-wing causes

Soros told the Wall Street Journal last year he will broaden his father’s woke aims,  but embrace different causes like voting and abortion rights as well as gender equality.

‘I’m more political,’ Alex said, when comparing himself to his father. He has already visited the White House several times and met with big-name Democrats.

Speaking about his goals, Alex said he was concerned about the possibility of Republican Donald Trump returning to the White House — suggesting the family will contribute greatly to Democrats in the 2024 presidential election.

‘As much as I would love to get money out of politics, as long as the other side is doing it, we will have to do it, too,’ he said.

The Soros’s nonprofit, Open Society Foundation, already directs about $1.5billion a year to groups that back human rights around the world and build democracies, while also funding various universities.

And the family’s super PAC, the Democracy PAC, has backed the election campaigns of woke district attorneys and other law enforcement officials seeking to reduce incarceration rates and perceived racial bias in the justice system.

Alex has said he does not back every leftist cause. In contrast with many others on the left, Alex said he believes free speech on campus has become too restricted.

‘I have some differences with my generation in regard to free speech and other things,’ he said.

Alex also frequently posts shots of himself with Democratic politicians including Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama and Sen. Chuck Schumer – whom he called a ‘good friend.’

He has also been recorded on the White House logs at least a dozen times since 2021.

Alex has urged Democrats to better hone their message to broaden the party’s appeal, saying: ‘Our side has to be better about being more patriotic and inclusive.

‘Just because someone votes Trump doesn’t mean they’re lost or racist.’

Speaking of Alex’s appointment, George said: ‘He’s earned it.’

George made his billions as a hedge fund tycoon in the UK. His Open Society Foundation and related nonprofits have donated more than $42 billion worldwide.

Soros has also thrown millions of dollars behind liberal DAs – either with outright donations or funneled through political action committees – effectively buying elections and leading to the installment of at least 75 prosecutors who support his leftist agenda.

He has spent at least $40million on the project, wrote Matt Palumbo, author of The Man Behind the Curtain: Inside the Secret Network of George Soros, in the New York Post – a minuscule sum for a man worth at least $32billion.

The billionaire’s DAs have stripped away bail laws and opted to forgo prosecuting crimes like theft and reckless driving, effectively giving criminals a free pass and leading to the breakdown of law and order across the United States.

As a direct result, crime has skyrocketed in major cities overseen by Soros’s DAs. In 2021 under Kim Foxx’s reign, Chicago had the most murders it’s seen since 1994. And in Philadelphia, drug use and violent crime has seen a surge since Larry Krasner took office.

Trump frequently accuses George of funding Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and suggesting he is to blame for the case that centers around a $130,000 hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels. Trump was eventually convicted on all 34 counts.

George donated $1 million in 2021 to the left-leaning Color of Change political action committee that backed Bragg.

His son’s meeting with the Minnesota Governor and Vice Presidential nominee Walz is seen as a bit of a contrast, as the campaign and Walz himself has tried to position him as a ‘regular Joe’ who works on cars and loves football..

At 60 years old, Walz is close to retirement age, yet he may be the least wealthy vice presidential candidate in modern history – despite having had plenty of chances to bolster his net worth.

The bulk of Walz’s accumulated wealth is almost entirely in the form of pensions from the state, military, and federal government, which will have been bolstered by taxpayer-funded contributions.

And while a lack of money is certainly no bar to high office, some critics are now openly wondering whether former school teacher and football coach Walz is the right man to be one heartbeat away from the Oval Office.
