Those who have the product should not use it, and instead return it to stores for a full refund.

The Snuggla King Size Electric Blankets are not safe to use and have been recalled from end users.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) said: “The product presents a serious risk of fire and burns as it has been identified that the product is prone to overheating whilst in use.

“This could result in the product or the surrounding furniture catching fire, potentially leading to the consumer receiving burns.

“The instructions supplied were deemed inadequate and some of the required documentation/markings were not present.

The OPSS said: “The product poses a risk of burns as the lid threads can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing the lid to detach during use.

“Stanley 1913 has issued a voluntary recall of the Switchback and Trigger action travel mugs because the lid threads can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing the lid to detach during use, posing a burn hazard.

“Stanley 1913 has asked all their customers currently in possession of the Switchback or Trigger Action travel mugs to immediately stop the use of these products.”
