A frantic search has been launched for a 12-year-old boy last seen entering a person’s car at a shopping centre in Queensland.
The boy was last seen at a shopping centre on High Street in Stanthorpe in the state’s Southern Downs region about 5.40pm on Friday.
He has not been seen or heard from since.
The 12-year-old may be travelling in a gold 2008 Holden Commodore sedan with QLD registration 660KS5 towards the Ipswich area, police said.

Police hold concern for the child’s welfare as the disappearance is out of character.
The child is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 140cm tall, with a proportionate build and red hair. They were last seen wearing black hooded jumper, black trousers, black slip-on shoes, and a black cap.
‘Police appeal to the child, or anyone with information regarding their whereabouts, to come forward,’ a police spokesperson said.
