Queensland Police have issued an urgent amber alert for three young children who who they say might be at significant risk.

Police believe the three-year-old girl, five-year-old boy and six-year-old boy were with a man known to them earlier in the day when they left a home on Victor Avenue in Paradise Point, in the Gold Coast, at 4pm on Sunday. 

It’s believed the children were taken in a car, believed to be a blue Hyundai I30 with Queensland registration 205SKW. 

The man was later located by police at an address in Slacks Creek, about 45km northwest of Paradise Point at 10.15pm and is assisting police with their inquiries. 

The children, described as Caucasian with slim builds and blonde hair, and the Hyundai I30 remain outstanding on Monday.

Police have appealed for public assistance to locate the missing children with concerns held for their welfare due to their young age. 

Anyone who sees the car or the children has been urged to contact police immediately with those with information about the incident to call 131 564.
