A man has been spotted dressed as a schoolboy offering to walk children home after class in Lincolnshire.

A pupil at Priory Ruskin Academy in Grantham said they were approached by a man wearing the school’s uniform and offered to walk them home.

The school advised students to call the police if they notice similar sightings and encouraged parents to remind their kids of safety precautions.

The incident on September 27 was reported to Lincolnshire Police who revealed that they have spoken to the student.

A statement from the force said: “We received a report on Friday afternoon that a pupil at Priory Ruskin Academy had been approached by an unknown person with a blond fringe and glasses who was wearing a school uniform.

“It is unknown if this was a man or a woman. We have spoken with the pupil and the school, and the school has issued an email to parents.

“We would encourage anyone who is concerned about another person behaving suspiciously to make a report to the police.”

Two other schools in the county have got involved as well.

The King’s School in Grantham also issued a statement to parents following the incident, asking children to “remain vigilant and not to speak to strangers”.

Meanwhile, a school in Sleaford reported a similar incident where a man was standing on a street near the school wearing school uniform.

This comes following a surge of videos on TikTok by someone called ‘smartschoolboy9’ who appears to be a middle-aged man dressed as a schoolboy.

It is unclear if these incidents in Lincolnshire are related in any way to the TikToks.
