Luka Doncic’s Dallas home was burglarized on Friday, it has been claimed.

NBA reporter Marc Stein quoted Doncic’s business manager Lara Beth Seager as saying: ‘No one was home at the time and thankfully Luka and his family are safe.

‘Luka has filed a police report and an investigation is ongoing.’

It marks the latest instalment of a concerning trend of elite athletes being targeted and Stein said the NBA sent a warning after a number of NFL stars had homes broken into.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce both had their Kansas City homes targeted earlier this year, along with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.

The Mavericks star is currently injured with a calf problem but his team were playing on Friday night against the Phoenix Suns.

Kelce’s $6million mansion was raided by thieves back in October, with the Super Bowl winner reportedly losing a number of cherished items.

Luka Doncic became the latest elite sports star to have his home burglarized on Friday

That included $100,000 in jewelry, $20,000 in cash, his first Super Bowl jersey and a watch that has since been found in Rhode Island.

The FBI continues to investigate the case and Kelce, who was said to be ‘upset and angry’ at being robbed, responded by bolstering his home security amid an NFL warning that a South American crime gang could be behind multiple players being targeted.

Chiefs quarterback Mahomes spoke briefly about the incident in November, saying: ‘Obviously, it’s frustrating, disappointing.

‘I can’t get into too many of the details because the investigation is still ongoing, but obviously, it’s something that you don’t want to happen to really anybody but obviously yourself.

‘I can’t speak too much about the details of everything just with the investigation going on, but I’m sure at some point that will be talked about.’
