New data has listed the 10 best places in Europe to visit this month and beyond, particularly for those searching for some romance.

The lesser-known destination of Turin leads the top three, with Berlin and Amsterdam completing the podium positions in the rankings of best February getaways compiled by experts from TUI Musement.

Paris, long considered the city of love, took ninth place on the list. Other destinations showcase unique experiences for couples including candlelit dinners aboard Venetian galleons and engagement ring workshops in Amsterdam’s historic diamond district.

The data behind TUI’s rankings reveals a significant trend in couples’ tourism, with 60 per cent of February reviews on TUI Musement coming from romantic travellers.

A new survey shows 34 per cent of couples specifically seek holidays that create lasting memories together.

Short-haul destinations remain particularly popular for romantic breaks, with 53 per cent of new couples preferring these locations.

The findings reflect changing preferences in romantic travel, with traditional destinations making way for cities offering unique experiences and activities for couples.
