A witness to yesterday’s Eltham horror crash that killed a 38-year-old woman and her unborn baby has detailed how her car was flipped over several times after an unmarked vehicle crashed into the side.
Abu Bakr, 34, described seeing three or four siren-blaring police Volvos hitting speeds of up to 90mph along the A20 when they collided with the woman’s car.
The witness said the woman was driving into the leisure centre off the road.
GB News has seen footage taken moments after the incident, which shows the inside of the car over 10 metres beyond the entrance to the leisure centre.
The witness said the woman’s husband saw the crash, adding that he ran out to with another child in his arms.
“He was sat in the passenger seat holding her hand,” Bakr said. “She was unconscious but twitching.”
“I was panicking. I was in tears. But he was so calm. I watched everything happening there.”
He also claimed that the husband had told him that his 38-year-old wife was due to give birth next week and that he was waiting to be picked up at the leisure centre.

Bakr added: “Everyone heard a bang. People ran out.”
The delivery driver separately claimed that the other police cars continued to drive up the A20.
Footage seen by this broadcaster shows another member of the public running down the road to the scene.
Bakr revealed that she was queuing in front of the victim of the crash and narrowly avoided being hit.
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed it has informed the wife’s next of kin about the horrific crash.
Detective Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry, in charge of policing in Greenwich, said: “My heart goes out to the woman’s family and friends who have lost their loved ones in these tragic circumstances.
“An investigation into the circumstances of this collision is under way by the Independent Office for Police Conduct and we will assist with their inquiries in any way we can.
“A road closure will remain at the scene today and I am grateful for the patience of the local motorists, who will need to use alternative routes.”
Two officers who were in the unmarked car were also taken to hospital following the collision. They have since been discharged.
