Love Island star Maura Higgins has found herself at the centre of controversy after footage emerged of her reportedly sharing a ‘drunken kiss’ with married McFly star Danny Jones – with Vicky Pattison now getting involved.
The incident took place at a Brit Awards after-party hosted by Universal Music at 180 Studios on the Strand, with The Sun releasing the footage of what appears to be an intimate moment between Jones and Higgins following Saturday night’s awards ceremony.
Jones, 38, has been married to podcast host Georgia Horsley since 2014, with whom he shares a seven-year-old son named Cooper.
Higgins, 34, was recently linked to TOWIE star Pete Wicks until last month, with a source who spoke to The Sun claiming Jones and Higgins “seemed to be having a great time” at the after-party.
The source added that the pair “looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”
Fans have been analysing the footage, debating whether the encounter was merely friendly or something more flirtatious, as the video appears to show them close to one another.

Neither Higgins nor Jones have publicly commented on the controversy since the footage emerged late on Sunday night.
Celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman has offered her professional analysis of the encounter between the pair and explained: “Danny and Maura’s kisses wouldn’t really register as notable for either of them. Whether drunk or sober, the kisses appear meaningless from a romantic standpoint.”
The expert noted Jones’s “confident position” with “hands in his pockets in a chilled-out, secure stance. This is the pose of a man enjoying the adoration of a fan, not a loverboy trying to ravish a lady.”
She also pointed out that “Maura’s hands never embrace him” and that their bodies weren’t touching during the interaction.

Prior to the controversy, Higgins had shared photos of her Brit Awards outfit on Instagram and showcased the floral sheer dress with the caption: “BRITS. Thankyou @tresemmeuk for an incredible night.”
The post attracted over 200,000 likes and numerous celebrity comments, with former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison writing: “Was waiting for this…” alongside a crown emoji.
Vicky’s comment has since drawn criticism, with one person responding: “Don’t encourage her x,” before another added: “Wouldn’t be supporting a homewrecker if I was you..”
However, one fan defended Pattison, and noted: “Don’t be having a dig when comments was posted prior to the news.”
Other celebrities who left complimentary comments have also faced backlash despite timing uncertainty.
In a December appearance on Paul C Brunson’s “We Need To Talk” podcast, Higgins opened up about her relationship history and admitted: “I’ve not had a great track record in relationships.
Neither Higgins nor Jones have addressed the allegations
“I just feel like apart from my best friend, every guy has just let me down. I expect to be let down, and you can never be in a healthy relationship if I’m expecting that.”
These comments have gained renewed attention following the recent controversy with Danny Jones.
