Travis Kelce’s barber showed off a new haircut for the Chiefs star on Sunday as he celebrated the tight end’s return for a 13th NFL season.

Kelce confirmed last week via a text to Pat McAfee that he was returning for Kansas City, after he weighed up retirement following his team’s loss in the Super Bowl.

And over the weekend, he paid a visit to his barber Vince Garcia, who trimmed his locks and beard as seen in a video posted to his Instagram account.

Kelce did not opt for a very drastic cut but seemed more than pleased by the conclusion of the session, which also included Garcia fading his sideburns.

The NFL star seemed pleased with the results as he later got up from the chair with a smile and hugged his barber, who he has gone to for years.

‘Always good catching up with my brother @killatrav,’ the barber wrote on Instagram after. ‘Glad you running it back next season fam, you def one of the best TE to ever play the game.’

Kelce is seen arriving to Super Bowl LIX, which he caught just four passes in

Following a quiet performance in his team’s Super Bowl LIX loss to the Eagles, Kelce was initially non-committal on returning for another season.

However, he’s now decided to come back, as he and his teammates will look to recover from their failed three-peat bid in New Orleans.

Kelce, who was seen on a date night with girlfriend Taylor Swift two days before the Super Bowl, later admitted he was not fully focused during the game.

‘I feel like I owe the guys that I come into that building with a whole lot more effort and focus,’ he later said on his New Heights podcast, referring to the game itself. ‘I just don’t know what it was during that game man, I wasn’t at my best.

‘The more that I see clips or watch the film and put myself back into those moments, man, I’m just like ‘what the f**k.”

His brother and co-host Jason replied: ‘Don’t overanalyze it Trav. You’re the king of not overanalyzing, so don’t overanalyze it.’

Kelce’s teammate and good friend Patrick Mahomes also recently debuted a (far more drastic) new haircut as well.

While the three-time champion was known for his long, curly Mohawk, he recently emerged with a much shorter look on top and a more subtle fade on the sides.

And Mahomes’ barber, DeJuan Bonds floated a theory as to why he went for the dramatic change.

‘I just think with the end of the season, frustration maybe, like, ‘You know what, I’m done. It’s time for a new look, change,’ and I think that’s pretty much what prompted his sudden urge,’ Bonds told Fox News Digital.

‘It probably was a little bit [frustration], then there was like, ‘Hey you know, it’s time for a new look.”

The barber noted that the haircut could have been even more drastic if he had taken Mahomes – a longtime client of his – at his exact words after he told him to ‘cut it off.’

‘A lot of times, when someone says, ‘Cut it off,’ they don’t really know,’ he said.

‘They’re just saying something. Me, as an experienced barber, I know that ‘cut it off’ really don’t mean ‘cut it off.”
