A transgender woman has appeared in court accused of raping a young schoolgirl and sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 13.
Maddison Wilson, 37, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday dressed in a pink headband, all-black clothing and a pair of white sports trainers.
During the five minute hearing, the 37-year-old spoke only to confirm their preferred “she/her” pronouns.
Wilson is accused of historical sex offences against children dating back to 2011.

The 37-year-old is facing a count of raping a girl under 13 and causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
According to the charge sheet, the transgender woman is accused of abusing the young child with “your penis”.

The 37-year-old also faces a charge of sexual assault against a boy under 13 and causing or inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
Both charges relate to alleged incidents in Southampton between 2017 and 2020.
The defendant, from Portsmouth, did not enter any pleas and will appear in court again in a fortnight.
