Shocking footage has captured the moment a P-plater driver reversed into an angry tradie and sent him flying to the ground on a busy highway.
The P-plater in a white Toyota attempted to pull onto the M4 at Granville in Sydney’s west from the breakdown lane during rush hour on Monday afternoon.
As they tried to join the flow of traffic, they cut in front of a tradie in a Honda van who immediately stopped his vehicle to go and confront the P-plater.
In dashcam footage captured by a truck driver, the P-plater is seen reversing into the tradie, sending him sprawling, after he hit the back of the car.
The truck driver, who wanted to be identified only as Nekta, told 7NEWS it is best to avoid getting involved in road rage incidents.
‘It’s stupid. Just don’t do things like that,’ he said.
‘I just stayed back in the truck and just watched it all.’
Nekta also shared a message to other motorists: ‘Pull your heads in.’

‘You’re grown men,’ he said.
‘You don’t need to do stuff like that on the middle of the road.’
NSW Police are aware of the incident and are trying to make contact with the drivers.
No formal complaint has been made at this stage.
