Tottenham are trying to revive their deal to sign Axel Disasi from Chelsea, Mail Sport understands.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have already welcome one defender – Kevin Danso – through their doors during the window but are still pursuing a deal for Disasi.
Mail Sport revealed earlier in the week that Tottenham were out of the running to sign Disasi – despite agreeing a loan deal with their London rivals.
The player had previously rejected a move to north London which caused the move to collapse. However, Spurs have not given up hope in bringing in the Frenchman.
It’s an attitude that has seemingly paid dividends already for Daniel Levy this January, after Mathys Tel performed a dramatic U-turn in his stance over joining Spurs.
After initially being rejected by the Bayern Munich star, Spurs are now closing in on a loan deal for the 19-year-old – who was sought after by a number of English clubs.
