Olly Murs took to Instagram to reveal the news that his wife Amelia Tank had given birth to their first child, daughter Madison.
The singer and bodybuilder married last year and shared a snap of the couple leaving the hospital with their new family member in hand.
Alongside the image, Murs wrote: “Our mini Murs has arrived. Madison we love you so much already.”
The singer was flooded with comments from his famous friends, including JLS star Aston Merrygold who penned: “Congratulations guys! Let the fun begin.”
The Only Way is Essex star Shelby Tribble commented: “Ooooh congratulations to you all. The best adventure begins.”
Jessica Wight simply noted: “Aww congratulations,” before her brother Mark Wright said: “Buzzing for you both guys. Love yas.”
“Congratulations you guys,” Vicky Patterson added before radio DJ Laura Whitmore added: “Laura Whitmore: Congrats you guys!! Xx”
Many of Murs’s fans were quick to give their well wishes, adding they hoped both mum and baby were doing well.
Murs opened up about becoming a first-time dad to OK! Magazine last year and shared: “Married life has been lovely I haven’t been around much, really, because I’ve been touring, so it’s nice to be home.
“I’m not sure I’m going to go for six kids, but of course, I’d love to have children.”
Olly and Amelia announced their pregnancy last year
This wasn’t the first time that Murs opened up about expanding his family with Tank, as he previously said: “We’re ready to have our own little Murs running around.
“It’s so special that we’ll be able to take our kids to Osea Island one day and say: ‘This is where we got married’.”
Elsewhere, Murs’ career was making headlines recently after he spoke on being axed from BBC series The Voice.
After the news broke that two new judges would be joining the team, Murs said: “I’m gutted. I got the call last week to say I won’t be back on the show, and it’s a bit of a shock, to be honest.
Olly and Amelia welcomed their first child together
“I didn’t really expect that to come,” he told The Sun. “I don’t want to bull**** my fans or bull*** people who watch the show, and say, ‘Oh, it was an amicable decision to leave – I’ve got lots of things on next year, I can’t do it any more.’
“Did I want to leave? No. Will I still watch the show? Of course, but it’ll be sore thinking that could have been me.”
