Many women move on to conditioner after they have completed their double shampoo. However, according to the expert, this is a mistake.
Post-shampoo, women should take the time to apply a hair mask “now that the hair strands are open”.
The expert advised working this through the hair, taking care to also massage the scalp.
Then, ladies should condition their hair, working the product from the roots to the ends.
“Don’t be scared,” she told viewers, “your hair will not be greasy if you properly rinse your hair”.
The hair experts at Gisou also recommended employing a hair mask before conditioner for optimal strands.
They advised: “A hair mask should be used before conditioner. Why? Well, a hair mask provides a concentrated dose of nourishment and repair, while a conditioner offers regular hydration and manageability.
“By using the hair mask first, you give your locks that extra TLC they crave before sealing in the goodness with a conditioner.”
The experts advised hair care enthusiasts to apply their hair mask to the mid-lengths to the ends of their hair, focusing particularly on dry or damaged sections.
