A Tennessee high school student has opened fire on two other pupils before turning the gun on himself.
The horror unfolded in the cafeteria at Antioch High School at around 11am on Wednesday.
Police confirmed that three students including the shooter were injured, but did not state the severity of their wounds.
‘Antioch High School is on a lockdown due to shots being fired inside the school building. Metro Police are on the scene,’ a statement from Metro Nashville Public Schools said.
‘The person responsible for shooting is no longer a threat. We will be gathering students in the auditorium and will provide information on reunification as soon as possible.
‘This is an active crime scene and investigation. We will work with the MNPD to provide further updates as they become available.’

Another clip from near the scene shows emergency vehicles racing to the scene with their sirens blaring.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said that the incident is under investigation.
Antioch High School caters to around 2,000 students in grades nine through twelve.
Buses will be transporting students to 3754 M’boro Pk where their parents have been instructed to meet them.
