Streamer Adin Ross is under fire for launching a $70k Hurricane Milton ‘survival challenge’ that led to another Kick streamer’s arrest.
Shaun Sharkey, 18, also known as Shoovy, was arrested on Wednesday after breaking into an apartment building to chase Hurricane Milton for the substantial prize.
Ross offered creators on the live streaming platform Kick $70,000 to chase the hurricane on Tuesday.
Sharkey said it was his friend’s condo he was breaking in to, but in the live stream on his kick channel, he broke into the apartment with a screwdriver.
Later he was seen holding a knife with the door open.

He went into the stairwell where officers voices carried through the hall until they screamed at the streamer to get down from the stairwell he was standing on.
He shouted that his hands are up.
The officer was heard saying: ‘Get down here, right now! Or I will f**k you up. Get down, get down, put your phone.’
The creator was restrained by police and the video cut out.
The 18-year-old was arrested for burglary and resisting an officer – for the second charge he had a $1000 bond, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
His Kick channel was taken down that same day.

The streamer replied: ‘It’s my friends condo dumbass stop talking like i know what’s going on behind the scenes.
‘Bro never heard of a script.’
It’s unclear if Ross would’ve given the $70,000 prize to Sharkey. In a post on X he said, ‘Listen. $70K was promised to 2 specific streamers. Not everyone, you guys need to get to safety and evacuate. Protect yourselves please it’s not worth it, please.’

Sharkey has interacted with Ross in the past. A feud earlier this year stemmed from Ross not paying the younger streamer for participating in a dare on stream
Another streamer Kick streamer Mike Smalls Jr was live streaming on Wednesday showing him outside in the hurricane. He claimed he only had an air mattress, ramen and a umbrella.
He freaked out during the video after the chat informed him Ross had commented in his livestream: ‘Bro nobody getting paid, leave. Evacuate save yourself brother.’
Ross did give money to Lieutenant Dan after he decided to ride out Hurricane Milton from inside his sailboat in Tampa Bay. He gifted the man a $100,000 boat along with a Kick deal to start streaming.
