Nigel Farage is “perfectly positioned to be the next Prime Minister” and is one of the most “important figures” in British political history, Donald Trump’s former Chief Strategist has said.
Steve Bannon warns that many people are attempting to “destroy” Farage as he is “clearly a threat to the established way of doing things.”
Speaking to GB News, Bannon suggests that the Establishment is trying to out Farage because they are concerned he could “come back in a resurgence” and create “a populist party”.
The former investment banker hailed Farage’s “Brexit movement” which gave “sovereignty back to the British people”.

Speaking to Patrick Christys, he said: “I think Nigel could be perfectly positioned to be the next Prime Minister of of England.
“I think Nigel is one of the most important voices in the world as far as populist nationalism goes.
“And if you look at what’s happened to the British people with this current, quite frankly, very soft misdirected Tory government, it needs an intervention by a leader. And I think Nigel Farage is that leader.”
The former politician has previously laid his cards on the table when he was asked if he would ever want to take up residency in No10.

When quizzed about taking up the position by his I’m a Celebrity campmates, he said: “I don’t know. We’ll see. Depends how much of a mess the country gets in.
“I honestly don’t know. It’s not an easy job.”
But Bannon believes Farage is the ideal candidate as “England needs a populist nationalist party more than ever”.

“Which England needs a populist nationalist party more than they’ve ever, because right now they’re trying to once again crush the British people and destroy your sovereignty.”
