As women age, skin concerns are more prominent such as wrinkles and sagging but achieving youthful, radiant skin is still possible.

An esthetician has shared a product she uses every day to protect and heal her skin.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, Peaches Skin Care, Lisa Pfeiffer said: “It can be one of the most healing ointments you will ever put on your skin.

“Vaseline has a triple purification process and we know it is clean. I have been a holistic esthetician for almost 40 years and have helped hundreds of thousands of people with their skin and lots of them have benefitted from vaseline.”

The expert recommended applying Vaseline as part of your skin care routine

In the morning, apply Vaseline to protect the skin Lisa advised. Vaseline can act as an inclusive to locking in any moisture on the skin.

The esthetician said: “Your skin is very dehydrated in the morning, the skin in the body has been doing a lot of work at night. In the morning, wash and then put some Vaseline all over your face, maybe for an hour or until you shower.”

If you have sweated, apply some Vaseline to the moist areas as it helps the skin to sweat.

The expert explained: “It is not going to block up your pores or cause blackheads. It can really protect your skin so do not hesitate to do it at that time.”

Lisa suggested if your skin is irritated, Vaseline can help soothe and relax it by forming a barrier that seals in moisture.

She recommended: “Put vaseline right over your moisturiser lightly and let it act as an inclusive locking in any moisture.”

Consider applying Vaseline to your eyebrows. The expert said: “Vaseline does not grow your eyebrows but it does keep that area very protected.

“I like to use it as a little spoolie and I will put a little Vaseline on it and brush my eyebrows up to make them look nice. It is a great occlusive. What this means is something that locks in moisture.”

In other skin care news, a doctor has shared three vitamins to help boost collagen production.

Discussing on YouTube, Dr Sam Bunting said: “We cannot talk about collagen, preserving it, building it and preventing loss without talking about vitamins A, B and C.

“Vitamin A is probably the most important and really is the gold standard when it comes to preventing the signs of ageing.”
