US President Donald Trump has declared he will not deport Prince Harry from America amid an ongoing legal battle over his immigration status.
“I don’t want to do that,” Trump said.
The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, is suing the Department of Homeland Security over Harry’s visa records in Washington DC claiming Harry’s admissions in his memoir ‘Spare’ about taking cocaine, cannabis and mushrooms as a teenager invalidate his visa.
Trump took aim at Harry’s wife Meghan Markle, stating: “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
The US Department of State notes that drug-related convictions can make visa applicants ineligible.
