Sarah Ferguson has remained silent on social media surrounding her youngest daughter’s birthday despite sharing a profile article on Princess Beatrice.

The 65-year-old royal did however drop a like for Eugenie’s own post to mark her birthday.

Princess Eugenie, who turned 35 today, shared a photo on social media of herself, and her two children eating lunch on a mini outdoor table.

Alongside seven birthday emojis, Eugenie wrote: “Birthday Bestie’s”

Royal fans have flooded the post with messages, wishing the princess a “Happy Birthday”.

Jack Brooksbank, who married the royal in 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, most likely took the snap.

Sarah Ferguson, who is the mother of both Princess’s of York, did not issue a public message to her youngest daughter mark the special day.

Instead, the duchess, who has an active social media presence, reposted a link to a Vogue article based on her other daughter’s preterm birth.

Princess Beatrice gave birth to baby Athena on January 22, weeks before her due date.

The princess’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announced the birth on his social media account.

He posted a picture of the new-born wrapped in a pink blanket and wrote: “We welcomed baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her.”

Eugenie and Sarah both posted to their social media welcoming the new-born royal.

In the vogue article, Beatrice said: “Nothing quite prepares you for the moment when you realise your baby is going to arrive early. There’s so little control.

“Will she arrive healthy? Will there be complications? How will you juggle the rest of family life while trying to keep a tiny human safe and well?

“You know that when your baby arrives the doctors and midwives are going to be there, doing everything they can to ensure she makes it through those challenging first few days.

“But you have no idea how these things will play out or what happens next. The uncertainty leaves you with an overwhelming fear of the unknown.”
