Royal Family members have confirmed their attendance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s major event next month.
Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark are attending the Invictus Games in Canada in February.
The Danish Royal Family published on its website: “Prince Joachim and Princess Marie will attend the Invictus Games 2025, Vancouver, Canada.”
Prince Joachim, 55, and his wife Princess Marie, 48, left Denmark in early 2023 to move to Washington DC.

This was primarily because Queen Margrethe II, Joachim’s mother, stripped the couple’s children of their Princely titles.
This caused the family to relocate to the United States, where Prince Joachim took on a defence industry attaché role at the Danish Embassy.
As a result, their children, Count Henrik and Countess Athena, could live more normal lives without the formal royal affiliation.
In many ways, Joachim and Marie’s royal experience mirrored that of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Both couples left their respective countries and settled in the US with their children.
In addition, Prince Harry and Prince Joachim no longer carry out royal duties on behalf of their respective monarchies.
One key difference, however, is that Joachim and Marie have maintained cordial relations with the Danish Royal Family.
Joachim attended his older brother King Frederik’s proclamation ceremony in January 2024.

The brothers were also seen together at the royal New Year’s Eve reception in Denmark.
Prince Harry, however, is not thought to be on regular speaking terms with his father, King Charles, or his brother, Prince William.
The British Royal Family have not publicly supported the Invictus Games in recent years.
The Invictus Games is now an independent organisation, separate from the Royal Family.
