Erling Haaland regained his goalscoring form after an injury break in Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday.
After opening the scoring late in the second half, Haaland quickly doubled City’s lead after cruising past Jarrad Branthwaite to fire past Jordan Pickford.
Making it six wins in a row, City were surprisingly quiet in the first half, though the Norweigan’s fire power eventually broke through on goal.
Speaking after the match, Joleon Lescott described the Norweigan’s goal tally as like ‘PlayStation stats, you can’t just predict that’ he added.
Rio Ferdinand joked: ‘He’s taking the mick, it’s out of order.

Fans and pundits praised the relationship between Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne
‘There’s so many other strikers who feel they have to be involved in the game to get that rhythm and to be part of it. He doesn’t care, just let the ball bounce anywhere near me in and around that box and I’ll bag it, that’s what he’s done today.’ Ferdinand said.
Fans were also quick to react to Haaland’s performance, describing him as ‘just too good.’
Posting on X, formerly Twitter, one user said: ‘Haaland brushed Braithwaite like he was a piece of paper.’
‘Haaland violated Braithwaite there’ another penned.
‘City are clearly still a terrifying machine when Haaland and De Bruyne are playing, and I think the main question is how many minutes of them together the team will get down the stretch.’ another added.
‘The PL’s most feared duo are BACK… Kevin De Bruyne x Erling Haaland’ one wrote.
