Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s running mate has made claims that there is a top-secret program manipulating the skies over California.

Nicole Shanahan, 39, posted a video on X where she pointed out several contrails, saying ‘geoengineering should not happen without a referendum with full and accurate disclosure.’

‘That is not a contrail… that looked like it started as a contrail, maybe,’ she said while highlighting several line-shaped clouds in the sky.

She pointed at the larger contrail, saying it was turning into a thick cloud. ‘This s*** has to end, this is ridiculous,’ she concluded.

Shanahan was referring to solar geoengineering, which is a field of research on how to cool the planet to combat climate changes.

Scientists have suggested spraying sulfate aerosols in the air to scatter sunlight back into space.

However, sulfate aerosol air pollution is a cause of environmental mortality worldwide, leading to an increase in skin cancers.

David Keith, a professor of geophysical sciences at the University of Chicago, told DailyMail.com that Shanahan’s claims are not solar geoengineering because it ‘is an idea, not a thing that’s being implemented in practice.’

‘If there really were a large-scale program dumping material from aircraft at the scale described, there would have to be a large operating program to manufacture, load and disperse materials,’ he said.

‘If such a program existed at the scale required to explain the claimed amount of chemtrails, it would require thousands or perhaps tens of thousands of people.’

Scientists have been researching methods for blocking out sunlight to cool the planet, but no research has matured into real-world experiments.

Tennessee lawmakers banned geoengineering in 2024 due to worries about chemtrails and Florida is set to pass a similar bill this year.

The idea of chemtrails hit the public in the 1990s, which involved the government or an unknown force using commercial aircraft to release chemicals into the atmosphere.

The reasoning included everything from weather modifical to mass mind control, the Washington Post reported.

Followers of the theory argue that chemtrails look and behave differently from contrails, which consist of condensation that dissipates over time.

Shanahan, who was married to Google founder Sergey Brin until 2022, points to four line-shaped clouds in the sky, saying one had been in the sky for quite some time.

‘Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof,’ said Keith.

‘The claim that there is a large-scale secret program to spray materials from aircraft is extraordinary.

‘Yet all the evidence we have seen to date has been very weak. The most common claim is simply that aircraft contrails look ‘different’, without any comparative analysis.’

RFK Jr has also made comments about such secretive programs, saying ‘we are going to stop this crime’ in response to a video claiming to discuss the release of toxic aerosols in the air in the name of climate change.

The video claimed to be from a whistleblower of a project who said he is one of the many ‘Indigo Pilots’ chosen from ‘the top ranks of within the Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard.’

‘We are paid more than any other pilot for our service, other than Air Force One pilots,’ the voice in the clip said.

There is no evidence supporting Indigo Pilots exist.

It would be extraordinarily hard to keep such a program secret because it would be so easy for a single individual in the program to reveal it using leaked documents, photographs or actual hardware,’ Keith said.

‘Moreover, if such a program was intended to cause harm to their fellow citizens—as is alleged by people who believe in the chemtrails conspiracy—then people working in the program would have very strong personal motivations to reveal it.’

Keith said there are risks of injecting sulfate aerosols into the atmosphere, from mortality risk, temperature, air pollution and ozone loss.

‘Injecting sulfate aerosol into the stratosphere will cool the planet, reducing mortality from heat, one of the leading risks of climate change,’ he shared in a statement.

‘Sulfate aerosol air pollution is a leading cause of environmental mortality worldwide, so it is one of the most obvious risks of sulfate aerosol geoengineering.

‘Sulfate aerosols in the stratosphere can also damage the ozone layer, causing an increase in mortality from skin cancers.’

He concluded that with these three risks on the table, he and his colleagues have found that ‘the reduction in mortality from cooling—a benefit—is roughly ten times larger than the increase in mortality from air pollution and ozone loss—a harm.
