Job titles have a big impact on how much you pay for car insurance, reveals a new report by quotezone.co.uk.

Warehouse workers top the list of jobs with higher costs – with their average £1,371 almost 40 per cent more than the average £984, the findings suggest. 

They are followed by healthcare assistants (£1,343); chefs (£1,279); sales assistants (£1,240); shop assistants (£1,193); and accountants (£1,148).

HGV drivers (£580) are quoted premiums as much as 41 per cent less than the average followed by civil servants (£589); teachers (£664) and nurses (£741).
