Despite the challenges, Parker Bowles emphasised the King’s determination, stating: “You’ve just got to get on with it.”

The update came during an interview about Parker Bowles’ upcoming cookbook: Cooking and the Crown: Royal Recipes from Queen Victoria to King Charles III.

Parker Bowles also commented on Queen Camilla’s strength during this challenging time. “She’s tough, my mother”.

He remains “super close” with the Queen, who “adores” her grandchildren, including his kids Lola and Freddy.

The King was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer earlier this year.

In February, the father and son held a 45-minute meeting at Clarence House after Harry rushed back to the country of his birth following the news the monarch had been diagnosed with cancer.

Harry has made two trips to the UK since then, including in August for his uncle’s funeral, but has not seen King Charles during either of them.

They told the Daily Beast: “She has been the principal voice urging Charles to slow down and take things easy.

“The last thing she wants him to do is to get stressed out over a meeting with Harry.”
