Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are key to King Charles after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “tarnished” the royal brand, a PR expert has claimed.

Prince Andrew’s two daughters are not working members of the Royal Family, nor are their cousins Zara Tindall, 43, and Lady Louise Windsor, 20.

Laura Perkes, a PR strategist and reputation manager, spoke exclusively to GB News to explain why it would be a “strong strategic move” to promote the King’s nieces.

She said: “I think it’s a strong strategic move to promote Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall and Lady Louise Windsor as working royals.”

Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle, 42, stepped down as working royals in 2020, and spent the subsequent years revealing details of their feud with the Royal Family to the public.

For example, the couple sat down for an explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

This interview saw the Duchess of Sussex accuse an unnamed member of the Royal Family of “raising concerns” about the future skin colour of Prince Archie, who was not yet born when the alleged conversation took place.

In 2022, the couple released a docuseries titled Harry & Meghan on Netflix, where the duchess implied Prince William and Princess Kate were not big huggers and were “formal” behind the scenes.

Prince Harry later published his memoir Spare in January 2023, detailing a physical fight between him and his brother the Prince of Wales.

Perkes suggested to GB News that the departure of the Sussexes may mean a promotion for the King’s nieces.

She continued: “It’s fair to say that the royal name (and reputation) has been tarnished by the Sussexes.

“Therefore, changes do need to be made to improve the overall perception of the Royal Family and keep them relevant.

“Each of the women are role models, who focus on projects that have a purpose and matter to them.

“They’re all very ‘real’ and ‘normal’ which will work in favour of the Royal Family.”

The York Princesses accompanied Prince William to Royal Ascot last week, and also attended a Buckingham Palace Garden Party at the beginning of the month.

Zara Tindall was also present at these events, while Lady Louise Windsor had a prime spot on the Buckingham Palace balcony during Trooping the Colour with her parents.
