A group of ecstatic teenagers have jumped at the chance to pose with a “Prince William sat here” sign, hours after the future King visited their youth club.

Staff at The Hanworth Centre Hub, a youth club in Feltham, South West London, said the “sweet” moment happened during tonight’s Perfectly Imperfects Girls Group.

Mia, Isabelle, Summer, Zuza and Ella posed with ‘fan girl’ faces and their handmade sign this evening, having been overwhelmed by the news Prince William had visited hours earlier.

The Prince of Wales delivered leftover food with charity Surplus to Supper earlier today, which was then served to the young people attending tonight’s session.

Larger food packages were also sent to local families.

Protecting the planet for future generations is one of Prince William’s key priorities and reducing food waste is part of that.

The Earthshot Prize, founded by the Prince of Wales to find solutions to repair the planet over the next decade, includes a “Build a waste free world” category.

The Hanworth Centre Hub offers a safe, welcoming space for vulnerable children and teenagers who face difficult challenges, supporting them to build confidence and new skills for the future.
