Prince William has brushed of Princess Kate’s photo scandal as he stepped out for his second engagement of the day in London.

The Princess of Wales issued an apology after editing a family photograph of her and her three children released on Mother’s Day.

The picture was removed from all major international photograph platforms after editing issues were spotted.

The princess said that she “experiments with editing” and apologised “for any confusion” the photograph caused.

The Prince of Wales has made a second public appearance today to celebrate The Earthshot Prize Launchpad.

William met with global investors, philanthropists and Earthshot innovators in London to launch the new funding platform.

The prince also attended the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey today with other senior members of the Royal Family.

William walked alongside Queen Camilla at the service who stepped in to lead the family in place of her husband, King Charles.

King Charles missed the service today as he continues cancer treatment but released a video message to mark the occasion.

Prince William is the founder and president of the Earthshot Prize, which “finds and grows the solutions that will repair our planet.”

The Earthshot Prize Launchpad is currently in its pilot stage but aims to “connect Earthshot innovators with like-minded investors and philanthropists.”

Prince William’s match-making platform has already attracted 135 investors and philanthropists.

“Now, with the knowledge we’ve gained from our annual nomination process, we are empowering investors and philanthropists to discover the incredible solutions in our network, while opening doors for promising innovations to further scale.”

Prince William’s Earthshot Awards, which are set to be held in South Africa’s Cape Town, have already had a record number of nominations.

The awards received double the number of total nominations than any previous year.

Officials revealed that “in total 2,429 potential game-changing solutions based in 139 countries worldwide were put forward by our network of over 430 Official Nominators.”

The new Launchpad platform is expected to “accelerate the impact of environmental innovations that can protect and restore our planet.”

Thanks to Launchpad, Earthshot Prize Winner Notpla has received an additional £3.9 million towards their recent £10 million funding.
