Penny Lancaster, 53, has been inundated with supportive messages from her fans after sharing some tragic health news about one of her beloved pets.
The former model confirmed on Wednesday that her adorable pet pooch Bubbles, whom she shares with husband Sir Rod Stewart, 80, had been diagnosed with cancer.
Lancaster shared a sun-soaked snap with Bubbles and her other dog, Lilly, on Instagram as he announced the heartbreaking news.
She penned: “My fur babies, my gifts from up above, my angles on earth, you warm my heart and lift my spirits.
“Bubbles our curly one has been diagnosed with cancer and although his recent surgery was successful, sadly it’s spread.”
Delving into the support Bubbles is receiving, Lancaster went on: “Our Lilly from @battersea keeps him company and never leaves his side and the two of them never leave my side.
“Companions for live, for as long as that life will be and I feel blessed for every moment I spend with them.”
Lancaster concluded her post with a love heart emojis and the touching hashtags: “#dogs #unconditionallove #friendsforlife.”

Before long, the Loose Women star found herself on the receiving end of kind words from fans, some of whom had experienced similar instances with their beloved pets.
“Sending you all strength,” one follower penned before a second weighed in: “Oh Penny! They are so beautiful.”
Elsewhere, a third commented: “How sad. Yes, live in the moment, short or long, we take the love whilst we can.”
And a fourth weighed in: “Ahh dogs are just the best. Enjoy every sunny moment they bring and special hugs with Bubbles.”
“Sorry to read this,” a fifth remarked alongside a crying emoji. “Beautiful moments to cherish.”
Another passionately said: “They teach us soo much about love, how to live in the present and take the joys from every moment. Dogs are the most incredible gifts. I just wished everyone understood that.” (sic)
Her husband Stewart has yet to publicly address the sad news about their pet.
While the news of Bubbles’s diagnosis is undoubtedly tragic for the family, the Stewart clan did have reason to celebrate recently following the arrival of the Maggie May singer’s fourth grandchild.

Stewart’s son Liam welcomed his second child – a daughter named Elsie – with his wife, Nicole earlier this week.
The pair shared the news on Instagram alongside a snap of the newborn and her brother Louie.
Lancaster took to the comments to type: “So adorable, can’t wait to meet Louie’s little sister Elsie.”
Stewart has three other grandchildren, including 13-year-old Delilah, the child of his daughter Kimberly and her ex, Benicio Del Toro; 21-month-old Otis, who was born to his daughter Ruby and her partner Jack Kalick and Elsie’s older brother, Louie.
