A woman has found herself in an ongoing dispute with neighbours who repeatedly attempt to use her rental property’s three parking spaces without permission.

Despite clear refusals and intervention from her landlord, the neighbours have continued to harass her about using the spaces for free.

The situation escalated when one neighbour even attempted to park a trailer in her spot without asking and later accused her of “not being neighbourly” when refused.

The woman shared her frustration on Reddit, explaining that neighbours began pestering her family immediately after they moved into their new home.

“From the very beginning we have had both neighbours to the sides of us immediately start hounding us about if we are going to use all of our parking spaces,” she wrote.

After three days of constant harassment, the family contacted their landlord who intervened and “put a stop to it.”

However, the neighbours weren’t deterred by the landlord’s intervention.

About two weeks later, the woman and her family returned from shopping to find a truck attempting to manoeuvre a trailer into one of their parking spots.

When they informed the person directing the truck that it was their property, he appeared shocked, claiming “the lady said we could park here”.

The woman corrected him, noting she had repeatedly told them not to park there.

“No one came to ask us at any time if they could use our spots and we had been there for a full month,” she added.

Shortly after the trailer incident, the neighbour approached the woman’s house with her young child.

She explained she needed to use the driveway because landscaping work prevented her from using her own parking space.

When the woman refused once again, the neighbour attempted to guilt-trip her, claiming she was not being neighbourly.

Annoyed by the neighbour’s attitude, the woman decided to respond firmly: “You are mad because you thought you could use someone else’s property without their knowledge or consent and then play the victim when you are told no. Grow up,” she said.

The woman reported that her neighbour “stormed off with her kid in tow, mad about not getting her way.”

She then contacted her landlord again to check if any arrangement had been made without her knowledge.

Reddit users were quick to support the woman’s stance on the parking dispute.

One commenter suggested a petty solution: “I would park sideways and make sure I was in all three spaces every time I come home.”

Another noted: “It’s absolutely impossible for some people to take no for an answer. Your neighbours were definitely a bunch of spoiled brats.”

A third pointed out the legal aspect: “Technically I don’t believe the landlord could even give them permission to use the spaces.”
