Cops have issued an urgent warning after several ominous handwritten letters were discovered in mailboxes around an Ohio town.
Georgetown Police Department shared an image of one cryptic note scrawled on lined notebook paper, written by the self-proclaimed ‘Terror of Georgetown’.
‘Hey, my siege of this town just started,’ one of the letters appears to read – though the handwriting is difficult to decipher.
‘Bodies will fall, but none shall be found … ask yourselves who’s missing?’
The notes use an eerie blend of cursive and backward letters, and bear a doughnut-like symbol in the center of the page.

‘We are seeking any information or camera footage related to cryptic letters being placed around town and in mailboxes, some of them are possibly threatening,’ Georgetown Police said in a statement about the letters.
Cops warned residents in the targeted areas – North Kenwood and Powers Avenue – to lock their doors and stow away any expensive items.
‘We also urge everyone to remain vigilant for any signs of threats, trespassers, or suspicious activity,’ the department said.
The first letter was delivered to the Georgetown Public Library on September 21.
Georgetown Police Chief Shaun Inlow told WHIO TV the letters say ‘something about, ‘I’m the Terror of Georgetown. Bodies will fall.’
‘And they referenced Oct. 1, ‘ he added.
‘Oct. 1 is a significant date for the Las Vegas shooter incident that happened I think back in 2017. So there were some concerns there.’
The ominous delivery came a few days before the Brown County Fair – but Chief Inlow said the event passed without incident.
‘Everything went fine fine. Nothing happened. No blood fell, no bodies fell. No bodies went missing,’ he said.

A week later, several more letters were found pinned to mailbox flags outside homes.
‘That’s when we ended up getting — I think we got seven to 10 letters,’ Inlow said.
The chief added he believes an adult is behind the disturbing notes.
‘Initially I was thinking this could probably be a juvenile but then there were some indications in the letters like cursive and things like that would indicate maybe an adult,’ he told WHIO TV.
‘So, we’re kind of up on the air on that point. With it being so early in the morning it kind of rules out a little bit that it was a juvenile.’
No suspects have yet been identified.
