Christmas enthusiasts have no shortage of choices when finding a festive dessert.
Among the offerings is a new Lidl chocolate train that has been described as the “best one yet”, although some shoppers are less impressed with the flavours.
The Deluxe Christmas Express Belgian Chocolate Train is a chocolate treat in the shape of a green and gold train.
Its description reads: “A Belgian chocolate train filled with chocolate mouse and salted caramel, with a brownie base and marshmallow steam.”

The treat serves eight people and is on sale for £9.99, with Lidl Plus members able to get £3 off until Christmas when they use the app.
Food blog Newfoodsuk, which often discovers and samples new supermarket products, shared the item and described it as the “best Christmas fresh dessert we’ve spotted yet”, adding it “looks and sounds amazing”.
The post received 2,500 positive reactions on Facebook and more than 2,000 people headed to the comment section to share their reactions.
One person who had bought it said they “really can’t wait to try it”, while another said it is “going to look beautiful on my table this year”.
Another agreed with the posters and said it is the “best dessert I’ve seen in a long time”.
However, others were unsure of the flavour choices. A shopper penned: “Personally wish they wouldn’t put salted caramel in most things as not everyone’s a fan.”
Another responded: “I agree, too many salted caramel options and you can’t get a black Forrest anything anymore that was a must at Christmas.”
Others shared they were struggling to find the treat in stores, while one questioned why it was not launched earlier.

They said: “It’s ridiculous! Don’t understand why they’ve put this in stores so late in the month knowing most people won’t actually get the chance to get one, especially those that are working most days. I guaranteed people bought several at once or stores have only a few in.”
However, others were not put off by the flavours and did not struggle with finding them in stores.
Another shared they “got mine today. I adore salted caramel, just up my street. Love it”. One more added, “this looks amazing”.
