Prince Harry has not been approached by Netflix to make a documentary about his mother, Princess Diana, according to new claims.
This contradicts recent reports claiming the Duke of Sussex was set to produce a three-part series about Diana’s death.
The documentary would mark the 30th anniversary of Diana’s death in 2027 and form part of a new long-term deal with the streaming giant.
Sources close to the Sussexes have denied these claims.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Prince Harry would be involved in a documentary series about Diana to coincide with the 30th anniversary of her death.
The Express cited a “senior Hollywood source” claiming the three-part documentary would air in 2027.
This would supposedly follow the end of Harry and Meghan Markle’s current five-year partnership with Netflix, which began in 2020 and expires later this year.
The tabloid suggested this documentary would be part of a new deal with the streaming service.

According to the tabloid source, the documentary was intended as “a solo project for Harry, who would be a co-executive producer as well as hosting and narrating the series.”
The source told the outlet: “He is uniquely placed, not only to talk about the woman he knew as his mother, but also to examine her role as an enduring social and cultural icon still beloved by so many.”
These claims, however, have been firmly denied by those close to the Sussexes’ Netflix arrangements.
A source close to the Sussex’s partnership with Netflix has told The Independent that the report about a Diana documentary is “not true.”

The denial comes amid speculation about the future of Harry and Meghan’s relationship with Netflix.
Their current deal with the streaming platform is set to expire later this year.
