A number of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here viewers have expressed their frustration at the ITV show’s voting system after Nella Rose was exempt from the latest trial.

ITV bosses have been accused of a “fix” after Ant and Dec informed viewers that Rose had temporarily left the camp during Tuesday’s show to be “seen by the medic”.

This meant Ant and Dec had to enter the camp during the live segment of the episode to inform Rose’s 10 campmates who’d been voted to take on the next trial in her absence.

“Now unfortunately, Nella is being seen by the medic so she’ll be back later, but it means she’s now exempt from this trial,” Dec said to the camera.

“So let’s go in there and see who will be doing it,” Ant added before the pair entered camp and revealed Nigel Farage and Nick Pickard would face the trial instead.

ITV backed the decision to pull Rose from the trial as it said in a statement: “For medical reasons, Nella Rose is being treated by the show’s on-site medics and will be returning to camp shortly. As a result, she is exempt from the next trial.”

However, viewers were not impressed as many blasted the ITV voting system as well as the seeming convenience that Rose had withdrawn and taken herself out of the running to face yet another trial at the last minute.

Claiming the decision was a “fix”, one fuming viewer took to X, formerly Twitter, to post: “Oh surprise surprise SHE’S exempt from the trial #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity FIX.”

While a second blasted ITV: “Everyone who voted for nella tonight should get an extra 5 tomorrow night. Because if tonight doesn’t scream FIX i don’t know what does.

“She clearly got the most votes and knew it so made an excuse to see the medic to become exempt. What a mess of a show tonight was #ImaCeleb.”

Elsewhere, a third hit out: “Extraordinary tonight. Opened the votes, then pulled her after the results were in. Makes a nonsense of the whole show and voting system. #imaceleb #ImACelebrity.”

While a fourth queried: “Question for #ImACeleb. Why r u protecting Nella from the bush-tucker trials? Last nights was the 2nd one you’d given her a free pass with no explanation! We understand Farage, he was in a plane crash & is held together with metal! But Nella – I smell a fix!”

A fifth echoed: “Hmmmm how convenient for Nella to see the medics in I’m a celeb tonight and become exempt from the trial… FIX.. FIX… FIX!!! #getherout I’ll be switching off! #whoevenisshe #ImaCeleb.”

“What a fix,” another weighed in. “Nella was getting voted for another trial so conveniently went to see the medic #ImACeleb.”

However, a number of ITV viewers stood by Rose and defended ITV’s decision to pull the influencer out of the camp.

“So it’s a ‘fix’ when Nella has to see the medics before the trial, but not a fix when Grace left AFTER her name was called for the trial?” one person questioned. “Make it make sense, people. #ImACeleb.”

While a second leaped to Rose’s defence: “People are so dumb, why would Nella dodge a trial when she’s not dodged any of the trials so far, even though she’s done more trials than the rest of them put together? Grace left to dodge a trial and didn’t get this hate. Leave Nella alone #ImACeleb.” (sic)

Rose hit headlines elsewhere in Tuesday’s episode after she became embroiled in a heated exchange with Farage about “cultural appropriation”.

It’s not the first the YouTuber and GB News star have locked horns with the pair clashing about immigration previously.
