A heated confrontation between a student and her neighbour over public parking spaces has gone viral on TikTok – capturing a dispute that escalated to involve multiple residents.

The video, posted by student Suzy, shows an angry exchange after her neighbour demanded exclusive use of a street parking spot near her home, despite it being public parking.

The row erupted when the neighbour insisted she needed specific spaces due to her asthma condition, preventing her from walking up a hill.

The neighbour initially approached Suzy asking, “Can I just ask if you can move your car further up the hill for me please? Because I’m severely asthmatic. And I can’t walk too far.”

When Suzy explained she needed three spaces for her household, the neighbour became agitated, responding: “You don’t need anything, you’re students, I’m sorry, I live here, I’ve been living here for years.”

The resident argued that students shouldn’t “take up three or four spaces in a row where you don’t live permanently.”

The situation intensified when the neighbour became emotional, breaking down in tears and claiming: “If I die because I have an asthma attack because of you, then you’re going to be for it, girl!”

Additional residents joined the confrontation, with four people gathering to challenge Suzy’s right to park.

MORE NEIGHBOUR ROWS:

The neighbour’s daughter intervened, stating: “Everyone in the road knows that my mum parks there because she has a health condition. But you’re the only people that ever take her space.”

One of the gathered residents even threatened to move Suzy’s car without permission.

Throughout the confrontation, Suzy maintained her position, repeatedly stating: “It’s not a designated space. I can park where I like, it’s not designated!”

She challenged the permanent resident argument, saying: “Just because you’re a permanent resident doesn’t mean that you have a hold over us.”

The dispute eventually concluded when Suzy, who had been preparing to leave anyway, conceded the space, saying: “I’m sorry. I’ll be going in a minute.”

The video has garnered significant support for Suzy on TikTok, with viewers praising her composed handling of the situation.
