M&S Foodhall has upgraded its popular Rainbow Layer Cake, which now features five colourful layers.

The retailer has described the sweet treat as “the tallest rainbow cake on the high street” as shoppers have confirmed it looks “gorgeous”.

The upgraded dessert builds upon the previous version of M&S’s “much-loved” rainbow cake, which has become a customer favourite.

The eye-catching multi-tiered creation maintains the vibrant rainbow colour scheme that made the original version popular.

According to M&S, each layer of the cake is held together with “the creamiest Madagascan vanilla buttercream”.

The entire cake is decorated “top to toe” with sugar sprinkles for maximum visual impact.

The combination of vibrant sponge layers and premium vanilla buttercream promises to deliver visual appeal and indulgent taste.

M&S has described the enhanced rainbow cake as “the perfect party piece for any special occasion”.

The cake is available now in all M&S Foodhall locations across the UK.

Customers can also purchase the rainbow creation through online grocery retailer Ocado.

The timing of this release coincides with spring celebrations and the upcoming summer party season.
