Passengers scrambled to help a dog that had fallen between a tube carriage and the platform at King’s Cross Station this week.
Shocking video footage shows a man, who appears to be the owner, reaching down under the train for the dog just before lunchtime on Wednesday.
In the video the man can be head saying: ‘I just bought him today!’, while a woman standing on the platform says ‘I’ve got you,’ as they try to coax the dog out of the gap.
People gathered around the man are then told to ‘move back’ and to ‘move out of the way’ by train staff.
Thankfully, the owner and the woman manage to grab the dog by the scruff of its neck and haul it out of the gap, prompting a sigh of relief from passengers.

A 28-year-old tech worker who filmed the video said: ‘I was getting out of the Hammersmith and City Line train at Kings Cross Station when I heard a woman screaming “FIRE!”.
‘I went out and saw a big crowd gathered on the other end of the platform with a lot of commotion so I knew there was something wrong.
‘I went back on the train carriage and pressed the emergency button. The woman ran towards the front to alert the driver.

‘I went to see what was happening at the centre of the crowd and a man was trying to reach down under the train.
‘A woman was screaming for help and bringing staff to the area. I didn’t know what to do because I didn’t know what was down there and I didn’t want to risk my own life. It was a very dangerous situation so everyone was cautious. Even the staff.’
