A Seattle mother has been accused of beating her teen son to death so viciously that she left over a thousand bruises and cuts on his body.

Denaya Young, 29, allegedly became enraged with her son, 14, over his undone chores and beat him for three hours, until he stopped breathing, on January 30.

The teen died from Sudden Inflammatory Response Syndrome, according to the medical examiner, which means there was not enough to sustain his heart after he suffered so many injuries.

Police say Young waited for five minutes after her son stopped breathing before she called 911, as reported by Fox 13.

She then told officers she ‘let the anger get the best of her’ and ‘lost count’ of how many times she hit the teen.

The boy suffered at least 1,172 separate injuries during the abuse, per King 5’s reporting.

She is accused of beating the teen with HDMI cord even after he begged her to stop.

Young allegedly told police that the boy said he was dizzy several times during the beating but she thought he was lying.

Three young children and another adult were reportedly at the home when the fatal beating happened.

Young’s partner and the father of her other children reportedly told police he heard the assault happening but did not intervene.

The man allegedly told police: ‘I don’t want to jump in, and then I’m getting jumped on, you feel? I’m not even trying to have that type of day.’

He reportedly added that in ‘these situations’ it is ‘best to mind [your] business.’

Young did not have custody of the boy, who had traveled to visit her in August; officials say Young never returned the boy to his legal guardian.

She is charged with second-degree murder and being held on $3 million bail.
