Megyn Kelly has described an awkward near run-in she had with pop star Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl.
The former Fox journalist, 54, had been at the star-studded event in New Orleans on Sunday night as the Philadelphia Eagles triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs.
In an episode of The Megyn Kelly Show on Monday, she recalled a brief run-in with Swift, 35, who had been cheering on her boyfriend Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Kelly described walking into the ladies’ bathroom when she saw a woman who she believed to be standing in line.
She said: ‘I’m like, “Oh, are you in line?” And she’s like, “No.” Oh, OK. So I go to get past her, and she’s like, “Oh no, I think someone’s in there.”
Kelly then attempted to gain access to a stall that she believes Swift had been inside, who told her: ‘Oh no no!’, as Kelly tried the handle.
She added: ‘It started to open, and I heard like, “Oh no no!” and then I realized Taylor Swift was clearly in there, and this was like a privacy guard for her.
‘So I think I almost walked in on Taylor Swift in the bathroom, and I’m really glad that did not happen. Really, really glad.’

Kelly added: ‘So then I realized it was just one of those one-stall bathrooms, and I found the actual women’s room, which is where I went. It was fine.’
On her social media, Kelly had also shared images of her grabbing a selfie with President Trump and his son Don Jr.
In her post, Kelly wrote: ‘Saw Taylor Swift in the next box … eh … and then I spent time with a true winner. Thank you Mr. President!’
Swift was left stunned after she was met with booing inside the Caesars Superdome when she appeared on the jumbotron for the first time.
The star appeared to notice the booing, giving a mocking side-eye response as the noise mercilessly rang out around the packed stadium.
Expert Nicola Hickling, who is the founder of LipReader, told DailyMail.com that the superstar said ‘aww what, what’s going on’, as she was booed.
President Trump didn’t waste the opportunity to her on Truth Social after making history by becoming the first sitting President to go to a Super Bowl.
‘The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!’ Trump wrote.

Trump also shared footage of Swift getting booed from all corners of the stadium, comparing it to how he was cheered when he appeared on the jumbotron.
All eyes had been on Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs who had been hoping to clinch the first three-peat in Super Bowl history.
The ending on Sunday could not have been further from last year’s jubilant scenes as they suffered a crushing 22-40 defeat.
After the game Kelce could be seen heading to the locker room on the verge of tears, before ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole rubbed salt in the wounds by celebrating on the field with Philadelphia moments later.
DailyMail.com later revealed Kelce’s reaction to the shocking moment, which led to Trump claiming that she had a ‘tougher night than the Chiefs’.

A source close to Kelce said: ‘Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him.
‘He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.
‘It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts – being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him. Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there.
‘After Taylor being shut out for a Grammy and Travis losing the biggest game of the year it just hasn’t been a good week for them. But he knows that even though this is not a happy ending to the season having her love gives him so much joy.’
