The Duchess of Sussex has donated her own clothes to victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.

Meghan Markle, 43, spent several hours working with a local charity to help teenage girls who had lost their possessions in the devastating fires.

The revelation about Meghan’s clothing donations comes from a charity founder who witnessed her work first-hand during the height of the Californian wildfires.

Avery Colvert, the 14-year-old founder of Altadena Girls charity, praised Meghan’s hands-on involvement with the initiative.

The charity, established in January, provides clothes, makeup and toiletries to teenage girls who lost their belongings in the wildfires.

Colvert told Marie Claire: “Meghan is so incredibly kind. For all the girls that were coming in, they got to be styled by Meghan Markle.”

The duchess was reportedly “excited” to help and underwent stylist training to assist teenagers in selecting outfits.

The initiative has attracted support from various individuals, with the Duchess’s involvement marking a significant contribution to the cause.

The Archewell Foundation, established by Prince Harry and Meghan, continues to support the Altadena Girls charity.

Matt Chait, Avery’s stepfather, confirmed that the foundation helped secure a permanent operating space for the charity.

The foundation maintains its support for the initiative to this day, according to Chait’s comments to Marie Claire.

The duchess’s charitable efforts have emerged following weeks of criticism, including claims that her volunteering work in California was merely for publicity.

Hollywood actress Justine Bateman branded the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as “disaster tourists” following their visit to an LA evacuation site.

She has also faced allegations of mistreating past employees in a recent Vanity Fair article.

The couple reportedly found these accusations “offensive” but have chosen not to publicly respond to the criticisms.
