Meghan Markle was seen making a surprise appearance during a video to celebrate Kerry Washington’s 48th birthday on Thursday night.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, was briefly spotted smiling while talking to Washington in a video of a platter of cakes being presented to the birthday girl.
The mother-of-two was also joined by Jessica Alba, 43, who uploaded the video to her social media account.
Alba captioned the post: “Happy Born Day to my girl @kerrywashington.”

Meghan wore a simple white sleeveless top and jeans as she clapped along to the birthday celebrations.

The brief sighting of Meghan was the only time the former actress appeared in the 18-slide post.
The appearance comes weeks before Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix lifestyle show, “With Love, Meghan”, I set to air on the streaming platform.
The show was originally scheduled to launch on January 15, but following the devastation of the LA wildfires, Netflix announced it would be pushed back to March 4.
The streaming platform said the delay was at the request of Meghan, who stepped out with Prince Harry to support victims.
None of the women pictured in the birthday post are set to appear in the programme, which has confirmed eleven celebrity guests.
The Duchess of Sussex first revealed the eight-part series in a trailer posted to her new personal Instagram account.
It is the latest project part of a five-year deal with Netflix, which is set to expire this year.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed the £80million deal after announcing they would step back as working royals in 2020.
